Whirlpool 2-Speed Fan 1.7-cu ft Over-the-Range Microwave ( Stainless Steel )

Quality product. Well made and works great. It was bought to replace a very similar model that we had for quite a few years before it went wonky.

Great replacement unit

This is so much of an improvement from my previous unit. The installation took me less than 15 minutes because the mounting hardware was identical

Greatest update we’ve done so far!

This is our first over the stove microwave. Absolutely love everything about it from how easy it was installed to the size and even the functionality ! It even has a fan/vent! It is a beautiful addition to our kitchen and frees up counter space! My only regret is that we waited so long to transition to an over the stove microwave. If I could go back, I would have bought this microwave five years ago and done it as soon as we bought our house! I love it that much

Basic unit with simple controls

Just got this, so this is a tentative review. We picked this microwave to replace a 2006 Whirlpool that finally failed (short circuit). We picked this model mainly for simplicity of the menus for the functions we use the most. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some models, but does the basics, and was literally a 10-minute install by Lowes-contracted installers with no drilling. For the cons, it is louder than our old one and there is no way to close the door that isn't noisy (no gasket...

Say yes to Whirlpool!

My 2013 microwave just bit the dust. It was a great over the stove and is big enough to put larger items in it. All the bells and whistles I need. I loved it so that I bought the same newer Whirlpool as I had.

Much more convenient to have mounted

Fit nicely above the range, buttons easy to read, exhaust fan seem powerful but not extremely loud

2 weeks owning a Whirlpool WMH31017HZ microwave

Pros: It heats my food, and it was semi-easy to install. Cons: The installation template must be cut out of the box the microwave was shipped in. clever idea, but, you MUST cut the cardboard template out exactly on the dotted line of the thick cardboard box. My suggestion, cut it out "oversized" with a box cutter, and then try to trim to the dotted line with scissors. A precut paper template would have been far easier if supplied. Short Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My reason for rating this item a 3 is because this is my third purchase of this Whirlpool model. I have replaced this microwave twice in my new home. It was the initial microwave and I’ve replaced it twice in 7 years. I’m not sure of life expectancy for this model but it seems a bit excessive.

Not too thrilled with this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave beeps 4 times when food is done. My old one stopped when I opened the door, but this one continues. Kind of annoying. For whatever reason, when I roast almonds, this microwave burns the almonds in the middle. My old one was perfect. I miss the features where you could just push 1,2 or 3 and it would automatically start at each one pushed. I have to completely punch in all the numbers I want for the time with this one.
