Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
The reviews for this slow cooker are mixed. Some customers appreciate its versatility, including the ability to brown meat directly on the stove before slow cooking, and praise features like the removable pot, digital timer, and sturdy base. However, others have experienced issues with the non-stick coating peeling or bubbling, and report the cooker runs too hot even on the "warm" setting. There are also complaints about the difficulty of programming the timer and poor quality control. Overall, the product seems to have both strengths and weaknesses, with variable customer satisfaction.

Deluxe versatility cooker
I bought a few months ago. I have always used west bend cookers instead of crockpot because west cookers are much lighter to pick up. I am adding a picture of my last cooker and loved it. I tried top find one like it but only found this style cooker. I am learning how to use the new one, but would love the other style. The performance of the new one is excellent.

Some Great Features
I bought this a month ago because the glass cover from my first WB slow cooker broke and is no longer available...after 43 years of use. WB Co makes quality products, still using rectangle size electric fry pan, also 43 years of use. I chose this model as it is similar in size and shape to my old one...and can be used on stovetop, the base, and in the OVEN! I’ve already used it about 15 times, but not in oven yet. As a retiree, for me the timer is useless, weird that it is only way to turn ...

WestBend Slow Cooker
This is my 3rd 6 quart WestBend slow cooker over about 20 years. This one has a timer and sleeker style, but still cooks the same, which is great. The main reason I keep getting the same slow cooker is the fact you can brown your meat directly on the stove and then add your additional ingredients before setting on the base to slow cook and it is nice a roomy.

Not a great purchase
I bought one a year ago and same thing happened, ended up buying a second one because they never have rectangle pot to buy by itself. First one bubbled up like in pictures then rusted. Now this one which was bought this last fall is doing same thing and I have only used twice. Decided with this one I would wash by hand in case it was dishwasher on first one that made it bubble up. Nope it happened again. Will be looking for a different brand. Wanted this one to begin with because it was light...

Best cooker I have ever purchased.
I have an original Westbend cooker, over 20 years old, ( or older ) that works great still today..It's an amazing small slow cooker that, perfect for my wife and me, and the original cooking reciepe booklet that came with cooker 20 to 30 years ago are all top shelf.I would buy a new one when and if this original one bites the bullet. 4th West Bend slow cooker
We ordered this slow cooker to replace a ten year old West Bend slow cooker that had damage to the teflon coating on the inside of the pot. This cooker is slightly larger than our old one, and my wife is still getting used to the proper cook times. We wanted a slow cooker that had separate base and pot. This model is one of the few available today with removable pot. We are still getting used to the timer feature and need to re-read the instructions each time we use the appliance, otherwis...

Teflon peeling off after first use. Dissatisfied.
Considering the price of this beast, the value is very poor. Teflon is already peeling off after 1st usage of making beans, just like the last one I bought. I will never buy this brand again. I don't like that the timer is so hard to program, either.

Wonderful!
My last one was the simple one so this time I got one with all the extras! I love it! The handles on the pot and the lid are so nice as I am one who gets burned easily! It's nice to thicken my gravy by putting it on the stove burner. I have extra room in the 6 qt. pot for potatoes and carrots to go with my roast. It's my favorite slow cooker! I recommend it to everyone!

Way too hot
I have had these cookers for years and years. This one is not great. I only use the warm setting as it boils fairly hard on the lowest setting. In addition, there is no way to use it without the timer. Timer doesnt buzz or ring when cooking is complete. Very disappointed. Ordered a new one without the time and the old fashioned 5 heat settings and hoping for the best. Cooks without burning on warm only.
