Does not work without on it's own
Just a heads up, this probe does not work on it's own. You have to purchase additional Weber compatible items in order to connect to the probe.

Ambient temp probe
I've only used it once since purchase, but boy did it work great. It's nice to have a dedicated probe for measuring my grill temp (I have a 22" classic round grill with no lid thermometer). I now can better predict when to close or open vents, add charcoal, remove and wrap meats. Thanks Weber
