Should have read all the reviews before buying two of these. Returned one and would have returned the second if I had all the parts in a sellable condition. The screws for the latch both broke off at the head - can’t believe they weren’t strong enough to allow for tightening in preexisting holes. The handle wobbles even when the handle screws are as tight as they can get so I will continue to use my old handle. If the door weighs more than 5 lbs the handle will seem loose. I bought this item because I wanted to add a big handle to my sliding door. I thought it would be an easy swap. It was not that easy. The factory installed door pull was just 1/16" narrower. I had to grind out that area to get the main body into the door. Then the latch hole was 1/4" too high and slightly too small to accommodate the latch piece provided. I ground that hole out too. This door handle kit was a direct replacement for the old one on my slider that was broken (the exterior lock chamber went 'missing'). Almost identical, and my door was from around 1987.
