Battery powered edger
Christmas present and item that will begin being used in the spring. Until then difficult to get an accurate review. We ordered on Black Friday, and it took an extremely long time to get here.

Solid. Well built
It is solid and well built. But the wheel that you can adjust needs another spot. The blade goes into the ground at the highest setting. The blade is a strong thick metal.
Works pretty well
My lawn has never been edged and grass was creeping over the sidewalk. I had to make two passes over the edge. One at the lowest setting and another at the medium. Jumping right to the middle depth was causing the blade to bind. With regular or more frequent edging, I think edging would be much easier. It took 1.5 battery usage to get these two sections done.
Handt tool and saves a lot of labor
I finally yried this new edger out today, and ot took a liitle getting used to and knowing where the blade contacts the edge, but I got it in a short time of trying. It sure saves a lot of physicla labor, since I never had a power edger before. It did fine until it shut down and apparently killed the battery, so I charged it again to finish the job. It works well, but battery life is not long enough in my opinion. Perhaps a larger battery would be a nice extra. Well balanced and easy to han...
Take it slow and easy and it will get the job done
The Craftsman edger looks nice. I put it together and put a 4 amp battery on it was ready to try it out. Started out on a medium depth but it was having trouble. I slowly worked back and forth until I had a nice edge cut. It gets in a bind if you try to push it to fast. Took a little time but once you get an idea of how it’s going to work it gets the job done.

Lightweight but light duty
This edger is super lightweight and on the smaller side, which overall makes it very easy to use and store. However, that comes with the negatives the main one being power. This would be amazing for a commonly edged yard, but is not good for one that is neglected and only edged monthly like mine. With any resistance, it shuts off whether that resistance is from tapping the concrete on the side or grass getting into the blade, it doesn't push through. sometimes after shutting off a few times it n...

Solid tool; good investment
Overall great product! This is the first cordless edger I have had but I found it very easy to use and operate. The guides make it easy to line up and follow the desired path. And not having to manage a cord is a godsend! It did an effective job cutting and I was pleased with the result. I should note that like with any edger, it’s best to first use a trimmer to fet your yard edges inline and then use the edger from that point forward to maintain it. In terms of improvement areas, there are ...
Not what I expected
Somewhat disappointed. The cuts are clean and straight, battery is easy to charge, and the blade is sharp. However, it cut off three times while using it. Had to wait a couple of secs to get it back on. Checked the battery to make sure it was a ill full and it was. I don't know what caused it to cut off. Other than that it works good

Good power and run time
The edger was easy to assemble and use and was able to power through my never-before-edged lawn even though the ground was still damp from rains a few days before. The operating instructions warn about clogging when edging damp ground, and I did have to stop and clean out the blade guard a few times. That was easy to do. The battery was still at full charge after about a half hour edging, so it provides plenty of running time.
