The Core SWX DV-GP3-USB is a power extension cable allowing you to power the GoPRO Hero 3/3 Plus and includes a USB AC Wall Adapter. While a USB cable is suitable for many applications, the Core SWX DV-GP3 adapter locks into the battery receptacle on the back of the camera, so you no longer need to rely on the USB connection on the side of the camera which can come out easily.
