8 years of good use
I used mine without any issues whatsoever for 8 years on about 1/4 acre. The following season, it wouldn't turn over. Replaced the battery and still nothing. I just ordered a solenoid, spark plug and starter. Fingers crossed.
Great mower! Never had a problem.
This is the fifth year of owning this mower and I have never had a problem at all! It's powerful enough to cut through thick grass. I installed the mulching kit and it does great. I agree with the other reviewers that anti-scalping wheels would be nice. But seeing as how other mowers for the same price have a smaller engine and cutting area, this is a great deal.
piece of junk
i should no better by now. but i am on my 3rd one. piece of juck. thx DALE
Troybilt pony
Bought one 4 years ago. The first year it was in the shop at least 7 times for the same problem. Called Troybilt and customer service was teribble. Not until I threatenedto call my attorney did I get some action. Would have been cheaper to give me a new mower. Finally got it back worked well for 2 years then last summer the motor went out. Would NEVER purchase another Troybilt product and have told many friends to aovid this product. Would rate 0 stars if available.
Beware!!!!!..i thought this 1000 doller tractor would hold up..absolutly not...do not buy!!!
Motor is not reliable
I had this mower 1 season and the motor blows white smoke like a broke down disel and I only mow 1/4 of an acre with this mower new motor cost over $500.00
Troybilt Pony
Mower starts every time and does a good job mowing. I mow about 1.5 acres each week and it's the right size mower for the job. I did have trouble when I first got the mower; the third time I mowed it threw a rod through the head. This was covered under the warranty and I bought the extended warranty just in case I have any more trouble. I bought the mower in 2006 and other than the one problem, have not had any trouble from this. I wish it would mow in reverse and wheels on front of deck would b...
Worst Item I ever used
The lawn mower is terrible it has been in the shop more then it has cut grass, the belts are terrible change them after year service the pulley for the blades is a poor design no way you can oil them unless you buy a whole new pulley for 80 dollars, for repairs I have spent 430 dollars half the price of a new one if you do buy one buy an extended warrenty after two year all repairs come out of your pocket.
