Essential with lack of durability

I could not imagine doing a hidden fastener install without this tool. However, it's plastic and the screw guide funnel broke off the first time I dropped it.

Broke on first use

Very lightweight item, looked like a game changer but turned out to be junk! Item broke on very first use, not just the first job, the very first screw! I plan on returning when I can. I was installing trex composite decking, this looked to be a great help, I was so excited to find this item. Do not buy!

Time saver.

Fastener tool saves a bit of time versus placing by hand. The tool positions the screw at a slight angle to allow the next board to go in without having to go back and tighten.

very handy tool for decking installation

I used this for installation of Wolf Serenity decking (not Trex decking) and it worked great, keeping the clip in proper position and allowing me to set the screw to proper depth each time. The fact that the driver bit is attached to the bottom of the tool is an added benefit

Must Have Trex Installation Tool for the DIYer.

I was tempted to just use normal deck screws to install my trex decking but decided to use the hidden fasteners. This installation tool made this process so much easier. Easy to use and reliable. Love the look without the screws.

Extremely Helpful/Essential

Made screwing the fasteners smooth, holding the fasteners without the tool is torture, the tool makes it easy to push in the plank tight while screwing the screw in, must have, and the price is fair!

Great for rookies

The product was great at lining up and setting the fasteners, but to someone with minimal constructions skills it was just as easy (if not easier) to install without the tool.
