Non-slip marine paint creates a long-lasting, high-traction surface that’s comfortable, secure, and less abrasive than finishes containing silica additives
UV-resistant low-glare finish won’t crack, fade, or peel; Scrubbing won’t cause finish wear, and traction additives won’t fall out with wear or cleaning
Use on boat decks, floors, in cabins, on docks, ramps, stairs, steps, swim platforms, and over worn out non-skid patterns; Apply 1-2 coats by brush or roller

What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this non-skid deck paint for exceptional traction and durability. Most highlight the effective non-skid texture that prevents slips on wet surfaces without excessive abrasiveness, and many report the hard, resilient coating withstands heavy use, tool impacts, and harsh marine environments without scuffing. Reviewers find application straightforward using rollers, sprayers, or brushes, with two coats typically providing full coverage. A strong consensus emerges that the product delivers superior value, with many customers repurchasing or recommending it to others. A few note color accuracy concerns or spray filter clogging, but these are outweighed by widespread satisfaction.

Terrible outcome

Would Not Recommend

I followed all directions according to the website. Sanded my boat for days, Waited like I was supposed to between coats. Sanded between coats. And the last coat I put on is still gummy a month later. I’ve had fans on it I’ve done everything I was supposed to. I won’t be buying anymore.

Huge improvement. Easy to apply.

Would Recommend

This is the second boat that I’ve refreshed the nonskid with Total Boat’s Total tread. In both cases it took longer to tape than to apply Total Tread and both times the results were excellent. Easy to apply over an existing nonskid. No sanding. Just follow the simple directions to prepare the surface and you’re set to go.

Boat Rebuild

Would Recommend

Put one coat of primer and two coats of the light gray non skid paint. Turned out perfect on an old 1980’s 14ft Stumpknocker fiberglass boat.

Not on plywood floor

Would Not Recommend

Used with suggested primer on pontoon plywood floor. Did not last even 1 year. I would not recommend for this application.
