I really like this as a work top and as a lid for the crate. It's a little pricier than i would like but it's a nice addition.

Bowed
Same as a number of other reviews: the wooden top came significantly bowed and already has some cracks. It was so bowed the plastic structural part wouldn't even properly click into the rest of the toolbox. I might try soaking in mineral oil and flattening with some weights, but most likely you'll need to replace this yourself with a better wooden board or something made out of a more stable material.

Wood comes untreated
Wood isnt protected, mine came with a crack down the middle. I fixed it and coated it but dang!

Must sell your soul for warranty coverage
Received with one large crack and several small ones in the wood top surface. The base is fine, based on reviews the top is obviously a sourcing failure. HOWEVER, requesting customer service or warranty claims require you sell your personal data for marketing. No thanks. Just know you are paying 60 for the base and not the top. Make your own top.

Can the wood work surface be used on top of the wheeled platform dolly to move heavy items? Is there a load limit for the work surface?
