Good solution
Works as advertised BUT the screws to attach the base to the deck are worthless! the top half is dipped in black paint, they are not black coated. the thick paint prevents the star bit from fully seating. they cam out and strip the head. Try to scrape off the paint first. better yet buy a box of GRK const screws. you'll be happy you did
Limited use
Appears to be well made but it does not meet building code requirements for guard rails over 30 inches from the ground. This renders the product limited for use on many projects and should be disclosed in the description of the product on the web site.

A bit overkill and requires a lot of effort
This thing works, but honestly it's overkill in some ways that make it too difficult to work with. The central cylinder is quite long, and significantly longer than the bit Titan sells to go with it. Which means you need to use a hammer to drive it in the rest of the way. Hopefully this doesn't split your post, and hopefully you don't hit any knots, and hopefully you have a big enough hammer because I used a 6 lb sledgehammer (instructions recommend 3 lb hammer) and I still had quite a bit of di...

This product was fairly easy to use and install. I did not have my heavy hammer on the job site, so I had to use a framing hammer which was a little underwhelming for this task. I was however able to drive the mount into the post all the way. Also, the square drive mounting bolts are a little soft and the bit slipped on a couple of them. Once the posts were mounted, leveled and fastened however, they were remarkably sturdy. I was impressed and glad I decided this option for my post mounts. ...
