The Tekton Socket Retaining Pin and Ring Removal Tool is a dual-sided tool with a hook on one end and a punch on the other. Use the retaining ring hook to comfortably hook a socket retaining ring and pull it out of the ring groove. The hook has two bends: a 42-degree bend closer to the shaft of the tool, and a 180-degree bend towards the tip. The blunt tip of the hook prevents damage to the ring. Use the retaining pin punch to depress a detent pin or push out a retaining pin. The punch is long enough to reach all the way through our largest 3/4 inch drive impact socket base. It has a chamfered tip and high-contrast laser markings. There is a deep knurled grip in the middle of the tool. The tool is precisely machined from a solid piece of 8650 alloy steel and is finished with a black oxide coating for corrosion resistance. The Socket Retaining Pin and Ring Removal Tool is made entirely at our Grand Rapids, Michigan, manufacturing facility with USA-sourced materials.
