Whether you’re looking to keep dirt and debris out—or to simply greet visitors with fun, coastal vibe—this is the mat for you. Coir fibers used to make this mat are extracted from the husk of coconut, which are otherwise wasted. Each mat uses fiber from about 16 coconuts. The fiber is converted to yarn and then used to make these versatile doormats. After making the plain mat, the design is hand-stenciled by craftsmen, one layer at a time. The naturally resilient coir mat scrapes mud, sand, water and dirt off shoes.
