Square D by Schneider X Series Smart WiFi Matter Certified 15 -Amp 120-volt Tamper Resistant Residential Decorator Smart Compatible Outlet Receptacles , White

Will not connect to app!

After 1 hour of failed attempts to connect via the included instructions, I will be returning the receptacles. Square D by Schneider needs to provide proper, updated instructions with their products!

Works Great with Homey

This is an attractive wall outlet with sturdy construction and one of the few smart home devices incorporating matter technology. My approach to installation is to first setup the device in the Schneider Home App then use the sharing code supplied by the App to configure it in my smart home controller a Homey Pro hub that hosts a matter controller. I see others posting issues with the device but in my opinion most of those issues are probably related to the immaturity of the matter platform. ...

Useless for Energy Monitoring

Will not connect to the Schneider Home app, which is the only place to see energy usage. Earlier reviews show that it worked great with the Wiser app, but since acquisition by Schneider, and forced migration to their app, it has become useless for anything but on/off control. Square D seems to be yet another once-respected brand that's the victim of acquisitions and corporate greed.

Close.

I'm hoping it'll be of use once I buy the hub. My router can discover the device, but there is no accessible control. Even though the listing states no hub required, in my situation, I require a matter capable echo device at @$80.

stranded

Even though the listing states no hub required, get ready to buy a "matter compatable" echo device. Outlet connects to your router so thermostat the listing is correct, but there is no interface to control on/off. what's $80 more?

You 100% need a hub, will not connect without one

Misleading

Good idea hard to connect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the idea and the brand of this device! We use this brand in the rest of our house but never for an outlet. It’s very thought out and put together for saving your items and being clear on what the item is for. It powered our tv downstairs nicely and was easy to put in. Now comes the hard part, connecting it. No matter what we did it would not connect. We reset it, it recognized it, but did not connect. So for now we will use it as a plug...

Installs like any other outlet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little smart WiFi outlet! Installs like most any other outlet. I appreciate that the plate cover comes with it. Easy to control with Alexa and seems compatible with everything so far.

Great for upgrades and automation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just installed this and it's been solid. The build feels premium, it looks clean with a modern decorator style. The smart WiFi features make it super easy to integrate into my smart home. Setup was smooth. Overall, worth it if you're upgrading or going smart, maybe overkill for basic needs.

Simple to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super simple to install! I took a picture of it before installing. My house is run by Google assistant and this paired perfectly with my bedroom lights!! I like that it has the option to just shut the whole outlet down if needed and the wifi symbol lets you know if your Wi-Fi is down or if it's good to go! Highly recommend if smart home appliances are your thing!
