Flamethrower Redbud provides a blend of 4 to 5 colors on each branch at any given time. In early spring, reddish-purple flowers populate the branches, but its the heart-shaped foliage that steals the show as leaves at different stages of maturity glow with different colors. After the floral display is over, new leaves appear in a burgundy color, and as they mature leaves are yellow. Flamethrower is fast growing and easy to grow and it makes an intriguing specimen plant in the landscape.
