Limelight Hydrangea has an ever-changing appearance. When it first blooms in midsummer, it is covered with creamy white, dense flower panicles. Before long their color changes to a pale green. Then, as fall approaches, they take on yet another look by gradually turning pink. The bushes are vigrous and upright and can reach a height of 13 feet tall and 8 to 12 inch long flowers. Limelight Hydrangea is great for mass plantings, mixed shrub borders or woodland gardens. Limelight blooms on new wood, so it is important to prune in late fall to early spring to ensure increased flowering.
