Densiformis Spreading Yew is the most widely used foundation plant in the United States and also makes a great, trouble-free, low hedge. Can be sheared or pruned to any shape and is perfect for foundation plantings that won't block your view from your windows. Mature height is only 3 to 4 feet tall, but spreads up to 7 feet wide. Can also be sheared into a low 3 to 4 feet high, hedge. Un-sheared growth habit is rounded mounding. No serious insect or disease problems- no sprays required. This female cultivar has bright red berries.
