The Rising Sun Redbud features spectacular foliage colors, with new growth starting apricot, graduating to vivid gold, and finally to bright green. Water it during dry spells, and it will keep flushing the tangerine new growth over the entire summer into fall. It withstands drought, heat, poor soil and pollution, while the leaves are impervious to sunburn. In spring, butterflies and early hummingbirds love the nectar of the small, bright pink flowers.
