Tamukeyama Japanese Maple is widely considered to be the most reliable and easiest to grow of the darker foliaged cut-leaf japanese maples. It has a mounding habit that's more wide than tall, with branches that cascade beyond the confines of its base. The lacy foliage retains its intense burgundy shade all season in full sun, but it will adapt to part shade with little loss of color.
