Imperfections
There are a lot of little gouges and imperfections, a hairline crack right down the middle and a set of 3 black finger marks on the surface under the finish. Nothing major and it looks ok from a distance but for the money, overall, I regret not sending it back.

Arrived split into 3 pieces
I haven't even removed it from the plastic it was wrapped in because it arrived with two full length splits in the center of the board. Very disappointing. I don't think this is because of damage. The box and packaging were all well put together and completely sound. It doesn't look like it was properly joined to begin with. Very sad.

arrives damaged 2/2 times
i cannot seem to get one of these delivered (to home or store) without it suffering dents, gashes, chips, or cracks in the wood, despite protective cardboard packaging. it takes 10 days for the order to get to you , and each time upon inspection, both sides of the wood are unacceptably marred.

Arrived damaged (gauged) with bubbled finish
The desktop arrived with a few deep gauges on the top surface. There is also bubbling of the finish on both sides, so I can't even flip it over without having to sand down and refinish the whole slab.

Looks great. Was packed nicely and arrived in flawless condition. Poly finish gets rid of the wood texture so it feels a bit cheap that way. Drilling to mount the table frame was strange - some spots the drill went through like butter, others took effort to go the necessary depth. Not sure if that's an acacia thing or related to the quality of this particular piece. Nevertheless this one felt like a great value.
