It worked great, then it didn't
I bought this within the last year and a half. It worked just as it was supposed to until it began to act like the batteries were dead, even after putting multiple sets of brand new batteries in. bummed.

Should of returned
I bought this over a year ago. It has had problems since the day I got it. I should of returned it. It shuts off constantly while I’m trying to test things. I turn it on and it stays on for 2 seconds and then kicks back off. I thought it was maybe the batteries but I have switched those out and still no luck. I waited to long to return I probably just got a faulty device.

Perfect for around the house

This tester hasn't failed me yet and allows me to ensure I'm working safely around the house. The tester is fairly rugged, I haven't babied it at all and it is still working perfectly. The flashlight is a great feature that not all NCVT tools come with.

Good NCV tester
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tester works great. The added 24v feature works great for checking AC thermostat and irrigation control wires. It has both light and sound and the different color for the low voltage helps in identification.
