I came for a bunch of materials but left with just this wire. Most items at Lowe's were between 75% and 125% more expensive than the competitors. After many years of dealing with Lowe's this was my last item I will ever buy there.

The right material in a pinch

We typically use wholesale electrical suppliers, but this was a situation where we needed this material in hand very quickly. Lowes had the exact material we needed. I was able to pay by credit card over the phone and a receipt was emailed to me within seconds. Great experience!

Wire is fine, but Spool doesn't fit 1/2" EMT

I've used lots of Southwire before and will again. However, this Spool purchased 12/8/2023 beggars belief. Southwire, or whichever subcontractor did the 100' respool for them, used spools with a octagonal center hole that is way to small for a standard payoff using 1/2" EMT. Somewhere there is a Packaging Engineer that (a) is clearly not an engineer (b) needs way more geometry lessons focusing on Inscribed Circles not Circumscribed Circles. It's a Quality Management System Failure 101 - what is ...

They stop cutting wires by foot

No one know why they stop opening new rolls and cut it up to Coustumer request

1/2 in condueit

I ordered 1/2 emt and was informed the order was in the store. drove 25 miles to store and they gave me 3/4 in emt. Then found out that they didn't even have 1/2 in. They refunded my money.Than I drove across the street to Menard's and paid 4.99 each conduit instead of 6.20. Go figure.

Wire by foot

Not happy that you have discontinued many of the wire by the foot… I needed8 feet

Product is great Price was to high tho but if you gotta have you gotta have it

The store was out of spoils of wire to order by the foot. So this was a great alternative.

Great Wire For Solar Projects

Southwire makes excellent copper stranded wire that can also be used in the North, West and East. My use for this purchase was for a ground mount solar panel system of 32 solar panels of 390W each to run my electricity needs for my off-grid farm. So far, I have used over 1100 feet of this wire, without any issues on this project. It works extremely well for underground burial in PVC conduit and is also easy to pull through the conduit. I highly recommend this product for your wire needs.
