The Flirt Nandina (Nandina domestica 'Murasaki') is a compact and low-growing evergreen shrub known for its striking burgundy-red new foliage that matures to a rich green. Unlike many other nandina plants, the Flirt Nandina keeps its colorful foliage throughout the growing season, providing year-round interest in the garden. Its small, delicate leaves and dense growth habit make it an excellent choice for borders, ground covers, or container plantings. This hardy and versatile plant is also drought-tolerant once established, making it a low-maintenance option for adding color and texture to any landscape. Planting is also easy. Simply dig a hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil with your native soil. Leave the top of the root ball .5" above the ground when filling the hole with dirt. We recommended that you use a slow release granular fertilizer on this nandina plant each spring.
