I always considered SharkBite products as "high quality". I was wrong. I had to purchase 8 sweat shut off valve fittings to find 4 that did not leak. 3 leaked from the handle stem and 1 leaked from the 3/8 compression seat. Very poor quality.

They leak from the stem and they are not serviceable like the older style valves.

They all leak
tl;dr they all leak from the valve body, not the connections I made. I wanted to use the good old sweat on stop valve. This is all that my local store (number 1084) had for this. I just wasn't ready to trust the press on fittings, that was a huge mistake. I bought 6 valves. When I got to 4 of 4 leaking I gave up and took them all back. These all leaked from the same spot, where the shutoff comes out of the body. Both connections I did were dry. Some leaked instantly, other leaked after some ...
