Does not pump!
The pump did not work not matter how hard or long I shook it, per directions.

Thermoplastic Siphon pump
Cheap and easy to fill mower or boat tank. Didn't cost much so if it breaks after a few uses, so what.
Valve made of plastic - not copper as the original
The valve is made of plastic. Get one from many other sources that is made of copper that cannot break.
Read instructions carefully before buying.
I bought this to syphon water out of my sump pump in case of a power outage. I brought it home to test it out. When I read all of the directions, it stated the end of the hose had to be LOWER than the fluid you are pumping, Yet there is a CLEAR ILLUSTRATION on the package of a person using it to pump UP and into something.
Great product easy to use
I had my sump pump stop working so had to drain some out of it to get it running again. This pump allowed me to shake only a couple of time the pump start moving the water. Also the 6 foot extension allowed me to reach my drain to get the water out and to the drain without causing a bigger mess.
Great for a fish tank
Wife kept siphoning the 150 gallon fish tank the old fashioned way. I got her one of these to prevent the inadvertant over-siphon that results in fish-mouth. Works like a charm. Think I'll use for gasoline next time.
It works!
It is very easy to start it to pump water (in my case) It works like a champ, no issues. I really like it and I would recommend it,
