I purchased the foam to cut into sections and fit it in my garage doors for insulation. It has a rating of R5. I was able to wedge it in there and not use any glue or tape. So far it seems to be cooling it a bit.

You can get better material to use other than this
The material is rigid and breaks really easy. After cutting it to the length you need, you have lots of small particles of foam flaking off and making a mess.
