By starting the repair on undamaged threads you can ensure a continuous repair that is perfectly aligned with the original threads. Made of hardened high carbon and chromium steel, these dies feature dual indexing pins that ensure correct tooth alignment and hold the tool straight and secure during use. To drive the dies, this kit includes 2 chrome-moly steel 1/2-inch drive deep impact sockets in 1-inch and 1-3/8-inch size so you can easily use the thread chasers with your favorite ratchet or with a standard 'T' handle (not included). Kit includes 7 individual dies to fit 7/16-in-20, 1/2-in-20, and 9/16-in-20 SAE and M12-1.25, M12-1.50, M12-1.75, and M14-1.50 metric bolts, studs, and fasteners.
