This 1-1/4-in X 1-in brass male adapter with the rope loop connects PVC pipe to the barbed end and a threaded iron pipe to the female end. To minimize leaks, make sure all connections are tight. Use thread tape on all threaded connections.

I use this adapter to hang submersible well pumps. I put a 3/16 cable through hole to support pump. This is a good thing to do just in case something goes wrong and the pump has to be pulled.
