Medium hard wood, good for machining.
I was unfamiliar with the wood but thought it might work for what I needed. I was building a single cabinet with doors and needed material for the face frame and doors. It worked out great.

Good species of wood for finish work. Poor choices in the 8’ length - damaged pieces and larg warps. Lowe’s needs to cull out the bad stuff if they want to be in the business of selling high quality finish boards.
