The surface of the mat is designed with rows upon rows of raised, quadrilateral protrusions that increase traction underfoot and promote safety. The Block-Grip is a variation of stud rubber flooring or coin flooring. This non-slip floor product is made from abrasion-resistant SBR/PVC raw materials. The end-result is an ultra-durable rubber surface that is ideal for gym floors, cellar flooring, garage floors, non-slip safety floor surfaces, industrial floor coverings, and even boat flooring solutions. Thin, tough mat -- but it smells really bad!
Pros -- This mat is thin, but tough, with a good textured grip. Cons -- It is thin, so not sufficient for a gym mat. It could be a waterproof floor cover/protector, but not cushioning in any way. The biggest problem is the smell. I left it in my garage for a few weeks to let the smell dissipate, but it still has that heavy plastic vinyl smell that won't go away. I want to use this in a workshop to protect the floor, but the smell is too overwhelming after weeks since opening.

Better than expected
I decided on this particular product because I am renovating a fifth wheel camper and thought this might help out in the bathroom area so I overlaid the bathroom floor. The first thing I noticed was upon unpacking it and unwrapping it that it was not a brittle cheap piece of plastic or linoleum is actually it's thin which is awesome it's pliable it's non-slip making it the perfect floor covering for the bathroom it is also helped with insulating the floor better

Quality floor matting
Really excellent matting. Pattern is clean and the product is thick enough to protect the floor and yet thin enough to not make the surface uneven. Well designed product.

I'm not real impressed
I got this because I have a home gym and more mats are always a good thing. Except I'm not going to be using this as a gym mat. The mats I'm used to are thick and can survive a weight being dropped on them; this is not the case with this mat. It is very thin and made of a glossy material. It is easy to clean, but it does not provide any sort of cushion what so ever. I think a better use for his is under a cat litter box. It's waterproof and easy to clean, plus it's large enough that the cats...
