Not what I had hoped for.

These are nice but are not for all stairs. They slip off my front steps but work fine on the garage step. Not for steps with rounded edges. The back is smooth which doesn’t allow the mat to grip a smooth surface.

Quality rubber stair protection

This product looks like it will really do the trick for me. Though it seems reasonably tough, it's not heavy and very thick, so it will trim to fit with little effort and could be secured with a pneumatic Brad nailer or even a strong stapler. I just built some new steps from garage to kitchen and these will fit nicely. Also, a set in the middle of the front porch steps will help also. Hoping they are durable enough to last a few seasons.

I feel much safer now.

These stair mats add a great safety aspect to my basement steps. They are easy to install with glue or double sided tape. They provide much better traction than the plain wooden steps.

Nice stair treads to prevent slips

I got these stair treads to put on wooden steps at my rental property so my tenant won’t slip on the steps. She’s pregnant and the wooden steps are slick if wet or icy and I wanted her to be safe. I actually put small nails in them to make sure they did not slip but I believe they would lay down without them. I believe they will be very useful and appear very sturdy.

Seems slippery

I like these, they look great and they will protect the edge of the step. I wish there was a way to make them adhere to the steps because it seems like they would move off the step if stepped on incorrectly, I gave them four stars instead of five for that. I used them on my back porch to keep the dirt off my patio. They slide a bit when I’m walking off the patio, maybe the tile I have doesn’t work well with it.

Heavy duty rubber

I am very happy with these tread mats. Right out of the bag, I knew they were going to be nice, given the weight of them. They are a very heavy duty rubber, at 29 1/2 inches wide, 9 3/4 inches deep, cover approximately 3/4 of an inch of the face of a tread, and are approximately 3/16” thick. Durable and good looking

These step guards were excellent. They are both durable and good looking enough for multiple locations. We used it in the garage where there have been some close calls. Outside step also where it catches dirt and can provide good traction if operating in wet conditions. These things are durable and thick. They smell like fresh tires when you open them but like tires it fades. I’m impressed- getting some for my folks.

If you've ever slipped on a step, you need this.

Nice size stair mats

Its a well made product. I like the overall design, shape and size of these rubber mats. I noticed while unpacking, the mats had a slight rubber smell. So if you are using these mats for an indoor set of stairs than you may want to air them out in a well ventilated area. I have rounded concrete edges on my stairs and my stairs seem to be larger than most. When I put these mats on my stairs it would like these mats would move when using them and that did happen. the rubber stair treads were packaged as a 6 pack which was not quite enough to do the project i needed as i have 10 steps but for the most part work as expected. you will need an adhesive to help hold them still. they are tough and durable and will help with the slip factor
