The Rocky 5" Outback boot features a premium, full grain leather upper with genuine breathable GORE-TEX waterproof construction to keep your feet dry and you comfortable while you spend time outdoors. For additional long-term comfort, this boot has a fully padded collar, and a (removable) extra thick PU Rocky Terra Suspension footbed with Air Flow design. The Gore-Tex compatible knit linings are breathable, soft and durable. Rocky boots featuring GORE-TEX are guaranteed to be durably waterproof and highly breathable. Why. Gore-Tex is made with a microporous membrane structure. Each pore is much smaller than a water molecule, but bigger than a water vapor molecule, which means no external moisture - from rain, snow, sleet or puddles - can penetrate the membrane, but internal moisture from perspiration can easily evaporate. So you can easily see why these are great shoes to wear while you are outside, enjoying the glory of Mother Nature. We've got you covered with grip too. The Outback rubber outsole provides long-lasting traction and stability on rugged terrain. It is stitched on for flexibility - and has been double stitched at toe and heel for durability.

Comfy but already falling apart at less than a yr.
They're very comfortable, however the eyelets and upper lace hooks seem to eat shoelaces, and the seam on the inner foot leather upper has randomly just popped apart

I've had these 14 months now and they are serviceable. They've kept my feet dry in the wet weather here in the PNW, worked pretty well for early October hunting last year, and have still held up, even with the amount of miles I put on hikers. They aren't the most comfortable boot I've worn. Not a lot of support for my high arched feet, so I can't give them a perfect score. But they've lasted longer than any Keens I've had, which usually get tossed within a year. And they work pretty well on th...

I ordered these ten years ago because the ole timberlands were giving me back trouble, y’all are just now looks for a review. Every few months I clean my rockys so I can wear them to a church function, they still look like New, even the scratches buff out.

long lasting, super comfortable
I've been wearing this boot to work as an electrician not for hunting and have been amazed at how comfortable and durable they have been. I will get about two years use out of a pair and i'd say that i'm probably on pair six or seven now and have a new pair still in the box just waiting to go into action.
