It only works with the plug in version.
Very easy to connect. I liked the ability to pan and control the camera. It works pretty well. It has the ability to set a home view that it will go back to once you are done panning. I know it would be more advanced and more money, but I wish like many of the ring products it would auto track the movement source. I would like to see finer app controls for panning as well. So I did not like the fact it did not track but all in all it was a good product and I would recommend it to others.
