Believe the Negative Hype!!

Junk, they either dont work at all and the door will still slame or they work too well not letting the door close at all once it hits the closer ( all depends on where you mount ). Usually check reviews on stuff before I buy, but I figured how could u go 110% wrong w/ the way a soft closer is made.... well these achieved that 110% JUNK DOSENT WORK STATUS .....AND MORE!! These should be removed from stores.

they don't work

I have very light cabinets and they did absolutely nothing even when doubled up. They were also the only one of these available in the store. the buyer for the store needs to do better.

Junk, does not work no matter where you mount it

I had high hopes for these, but they simply do not work as a soft door closer no matter where I mount them. I tried mounting them on the hinge side, and various distances from the hinge side all the way to the open side with no luck. AVOID THESES

I bought a pair thinking it would be less expensive than replacing the hinges. These provide NO soft-close benefit. I even tried using two per door and in different locations. Didn't work. I'll be returning these.
