This does help fade stains and soiled areas. Works best when used as a pretreatment for a full carpet cleaning. Easy to use: Spray area, scrub in with a soft brush, wait, and vacuum. You also may find it best to keep windows open when using. It has a strong perfumed smell that does go away after a while.
