Great garden tool
The thing I really like about this garden hoe is the thickness of the wooden handle. It feels very solid and matches the nice construction of the blade itself.
Wood handle garden hoe
This is a good garden tool I used it for weeding around vegetable plants. It’s well made with a hickory handle. It should last a long time. My wife was apprehensive when I told her I was getting a new hoe. I reassured her this one would not replace the old one. There are different types of hoes and it’s good to have several.
Larger hoe great multiple purposes
This 54-in Wood-Handle Garden Hoe I have used to weed my exisiting garden. It has a six inch blade which makes for quick work to even the toughest weeds. Thick rooted dandelions stand no chance. The blade is 3.5 inches high and I look forward to using it to sow my leeks when the time comes the width and height I am sure will make the perfect sized furrows. The handle connection is sturdy and looks well made.
Hoe down
This garden tool is adequate but is basically middle of the road. The blade is cast rather than hardened steel which makes it a cheap version of a quality garden tool. It serves its purpose but in my opinion it is rather cheap
Good tool for light work
The 54-in Wood-Handle Garden Hoe is good for light work in a garden or yard. The head is 5 7/8 inches wide which make it useful in tight places. I did use a file to place a slight edge on the blade to aid in cutting as the blade arrived dull which is to be expected. If you are looking for a lightweight tool that is maneuverable in tight spaces, this is it but I wouldn’t use it for heavy work.
Adequate, beveled edge, not cushioned handle
The black metal portion of the tool is attached to the wooden handle by one rivet. I'm not sure how durable that will be over time. My last hoe came apart at that junction and I ended up using fiberglass repair tape to reattach and reinforce that section. I may end up doing that as a preventative measure. The metal edges of the hoe are nicely beveled. I believe the black coating will help resist rust. I would prefer that the end of the handle where you hold the tool have some kind of padding, bu...
Good Solid Hoe
I needed this hoe to level out and slope an area near the sun room in which over the years the prior owner had let the soil accumulate. This was creating standing water near the sun room lower windows during a heavy rain. In preparation for Hurricane season, this needed to be corrected. The hoe is solid and the handle strong. It did feel a little bit light at the hoe end but there was little flex of the hoe plate when digging deeper into the soil.I did test the handle by putting my weight on i...
