Connect 5/8 inch distribution tubing or dripline to your water source; built-in swivel allows you to add or remove the adapter without twisting and potentially kinking the tubing
Thread the 3/4 inch FHT connection point of the adapter onto the MHT connection point on hose bibb or garden hose, insert the 5/8 inch tubing into the other end, where an internal barb holds it in place
Connect to water source, such as a hose bibb or garden hose
Fitting is made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), a type of plastic, treated with UV inhibitors to prevent cracking

The hose popped off repeatedly, had to replace with the same brand's barb-locking collar. Faucet connected to a pressure regulator, then the compression adaptor, then 5in of hose which went into an L-connector. It's possible the water pressure was still too great when it hit that L-connection/corner, slowly forcing the hose out, but I've had this brand's compression adaptor slip off before when it was just a straight hose. So far no problems with the barb-locking collar.
