It was something that I needed and also was on clearance - win-win!

If other people don't understand the window means the side with a single digit showing, I truly feel sorry for hard life must be for them. Anyway, the lock I bought was defective, basically a paperweight. Would not close, and could not change code, despite following printed instructions. It took three throws on concrete to completely destroy the lock, so I don't know if that's strong or not. Wouldn't recommend at all.

It's a good quality lock, but instructions could be better. It comes in the usual package that is theft resistant. It includes the lock and a small piece of paper with the instructions in text, no pictures. At first I wasn't sure if you should align with the recommended 0=0=0=0 to the front or the back and then realized it's the side. That is the default opening code. Small AND Mighty!

This little but mighty lock is absolutely perfect! TSA had no problem searching my bag and the lock stayed with my luggage. Ive had other brand locks and they were cut off due to failure to open for TSA. The changing of combination was simple, easy, and efficient. Im getting these for all of my luggage and my travel partners as gifts!

Need better directions to set combination

We have difficulty in setting our personal combination. Step one says to set the dials in the code window to 0-0-0-0. Which window is the code window? numbers are on three sides. We assumed that since both of the flat sides display two digits, the code window would be on the narrow side that displays only one digit. We set to all zeros, turned the shackle 90 degrees as instructed, but it would not push down. We now have a lock that we cannot open or close.

Well made and smooth operating. Like the fact that it is a four digit combo. Especially like the fact that it has a long shackle. Can fit it through both the main zipper tags and the expansion zipper tags at the same time. The long shackle allows it to be easily opened by the TSA key on the bottom of the lock. No more fighting and twisting to position it for unlocking.
