Does not work

I just put the new receiver up and the fan does not work only the light but the light doesnt work on light mode only on fan mode and fan doesn’t turn on

3 wire or 2 wire universal remote

I wasn't asked when ordering if I needed a 2 wire or 3 wire. I put in the model I needed and it said this one would work.

One part needs to be inserted in fan.

I hate to say that my order arrived late and when I got it the box was already opened and the receiver was missing. Fine item just terrible delivery.

Not plug and play for all fan models Lowes sells.

I (wrongly) assumed that this unit would be plug and play with the fans we also purchased from Lowes last year because the remote is identical. Nope, as with most of their branded items, sales are great but support stinks. Replacement parts were unavailable anywhere, by model or direct part number on the receiver. I had to cut and rewire the fan to get it to work with this remote, and had some trouble making it fit since the original receiver was smaller and the wiring was different. That said...
