Software updates broke the device
I bought a Proform elliptical with iFit in 2020 during the pandemic. 4-5 years later, one day the elliptical stopped working. The display console got upgraded online and the software wasn't working. I contacted iFit support. They provided an usb image to put on the usb stick. Tried it. Did not solve the problem. Then at that point, they forced me to buy a new display console.
