Clearly, quality has taken a step back
My dad has a pitboss that has lasted him around 15 years now. That thing is a tank. Solid build, thick metal plating, never had a component fail. Frankly it’s wild none of the electric components have went out in that time. This thing is built like sheets of aluminum foil. It arrived dented in and busted on the pellet hopper. By the time I noticed I already put it together. Lowe’s offered me a credit which was welcomed, but this review isn’t about Lowe’s it’s about a shoddy product from a manu...
OK but
I bought this grill on the 4th of July. I tried it out and it worked great. Today I tried to smoke some ribs and I could not keep a steady tempature. I set it at 215 degrees and looks at the app and it was at 296 degrees! It went up and down a lot. The ribs still came out good but I was hoping for a more stead temp.

Not Good
I really wanted to like this smoker, but it has been one disappointment after another. The auger is simply too weak and constantly jams, even when using the Pit Boss–recommended pellets. After only one year of normal use, the D11 error rendered the unit unusable, and the control board failed multiple times along the way. My First Smoker
This has been a great pellet smoker. First time buying one and I use it all the time. Had a control board issue a couple months in but customer service replaced it and no problems since. When I upgrade I will probably stick with Pitboss!
