GOOD INSULATION

I needed to replace some insulation in one of the panels under our trailer. I bought this because it is good material and easy to work with. Regular insulation would have been extra work and I would have needed help with it. This I can do by myself. It also resists the accumulation of moisture in this application.

AC Covers

Used the product to build in the wall AC units. First time use so I don't know how well this will insulate the house in the winter.

2" foam board measurements are incorrect

After purchasing 3 sheets of this 2" foam board that sells for $35+ each for a hobby project and reading that the actual size is 48"x96" I was surprised that the actual size in the review is incorrect and comes up short on the width by at least 1/4". Not a big problem in construction projects but in a situation where you are assuming that the actual size for a item is stated correctly you would hope it would be that size instead of a loss of a fractional inches that could make a difference in th...

Crawl Space Insulation

This 2" foam worked well in an 8" crawl space by being place in 4 layers 6" wide by 4' long. Spray foam was used to completely fill any uneven gaps.

I saw This Old House where Silva used Dow Corning's 2-inch rigid foam and 1x3s to create a stud system. Home Depot didn't have the correct version of the foam. Lowe's had their version of the foam. Good product

Good product , however, to make it a great product, I would suggest that the sides have an overlap area as other products similar to this one have as part of the insulation board. This would make for a better seal during the installation process. Other than that this product works remarkably well. Really like the fact that this product is offered as a four foot sheet unlike other similar insulation board.Thanks
