Years of use
After having used this drill for about 5 years now I can say that it has stood the test of time. I’ve used this for hundreds of projects. The battery doesn’t stay as charged as it used to but that’s to be expected. This is my first porter cable product but I’m very impressed.

reliable affordable multipurpose drill
Adjustments are good, hammer drill works, has sufficient torque. Bought to replace my 8 year old DeWalt- it's not that good but for the advanced home handyman, it fills the bill.

Looking to replace
I'm a DIY type that bought the six or seven piece PC set to start with. The drill quit with the first use. Lowe's took the drill back and let me pay the difference for the hammer drill. It has lasted a couple years but is beginning to grind and sometimes the gearing will not engage properly. I'm too cheap to start over with a bunch of new tools and batteries of a different brand so I'm going to replace it with another PC hammer drill. Junk Quality & Terrible Customer Service
On the first use the drill failed. Took it back to my local store for a swap. Refused to exchange it. Literally purchase it that day. Home Depot I hope you have better customer service because your my now go to hardware store.

Hammer drill
I had been trying to install a Ring doorbell. I needed to drill 4 holes in brick. 2 days 3 drill bits and I hadn't finished. So I bought this hammer drill, it was on sale too. I drilled 3rd and 4th holes in the brick in less than 10 min. It's fairly light weight and about the same size as the regular 20 volt cordless drill. I've been pleased with the other 20 volt cordless tools from Porter Cable. I bought an 8 pc set 2 yrs ago they have been great and held up well. So the hammer drill is great ...
