recently used the Oldcastle Walk Blocks for a backyard walkway project, and overall, I’m very satisfied with the results. The blocks have a clean, modern look that works well with a variety of landscaping styles. I went with the gray concrete color, which blends nicely with both grass and gravel. The surface texture adds a nice touch not too slippery when wet, and they look more high end than basic concrete slabs.

It'll do the job

This summer we have lots of backyard plans, so we're looking to create a semi underground fire pit by digging a hole and surrounding our smaller fire pit with these concrete blocks. Initially, I figured 7-10 would be enough but it looks like I'll need a few more to properly build around. They're heavy and well structured - just quite small.

I am thinking of using the Oldcastle Stagger Wall Blocks laid flat as a base for my outdoor planters. They’re heavy and really solid, so they won’t move around, even with big pots on top. I like that they lift the pots to help with good drainage so there’s no water pooling under them. They look like they’d work really well as an actual wall too. They lock together easily and have a uniform look.

The material seems like it will definitely last a long time. I have to be honest, I dropped it from about 3 ft and it didn't break. It's a good choice for someone with a diy project or even professionals. It sure would save a lot of time using these blocks to achieve a pattern rather than getting the different sized blocks individually.

Not your average cinderblock!

I love the look of these blocks to make a retaining wall look less “cinderblocky” the unique shape makes this look much more like individual stones vs one large block. We need a couple blocks for a small retaining wall around our deck but I loved to see how versatile these are with the display at the store creating a whole bench or pillars. Great for many installations. Built solid, should last a long time, looks good and can go anywhere. I’m still moving it around to find the perfect place for it.
