Excellent tree stand at a solid price. I bought 2 this year for a couple trees in that 6-8ft range. No problems, the spikes in the bottom help and the nutsert is metal so you're not relying on plastic threads of any kind. I searched for awhile and would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Edge too weak for a large tree
I was excited to replace my old tree stand with this unit, which had high and low bolts. However, when lifting the tree upright, the base of the stand crinkled. I looked at my old stand, which had a somewhat similar design, but a much stronger and wider outside bottom edge. Unfortunately, we did not notice that the stand was damaged. We decorated the tree in the afternoon, met friends for dinner, and returned home to find the tree lying horizontally on the living room floor with broken o...
