Seems a little thin, but should work as a filter. Hopefully will not get plugged.

Very thin .5 oz but works…

It works and was the only option found at my local Lowe’s for non-woven drain fabric, but I doubled it up because it is very thin. This fabric is about .5 ounces as opposed to what is normally recommended or used - 4 ounces or heavier. It probably won’t last as long and tore much easier, but I was able to get the job done in my backyard.

We bought this thinking that it would be better quality than general landscaping fabric. Personally, I don't think it's any better than landscaping fabric, just more expensive. I can't recommend this product based on what i've seen so far. I also don't have high hopes for longevity.

Thin Material

It would be great for a temporary application since water passes extremely easy and sand does not pass through. However, you can easily poke a finger through, no effort. I have seen a post stating that this must be replaced after 2-3 years and from the images the man posted it appears to be biodegradable. The price is perfect for the product.

Tears eaily

This fabric is very thin and tears very easily. I would not recomend this product for a french drain system.
