Bought these as they were the most inexpensive I could find, even online. They look good and are well built other than the threads are not aligned. When the pipes are threaded into each end, the line has a kink where the joint is. May not matter in some applications, but you sometimes get what you pay for.

Easy fix and cheap.
It saved me about $100.00 . My gas line had been burned in a brush fire and a new gas line riser would have cost that much or more so I bought what I knew would fix it.

Muffler Adapter
This product was mistakenly placed in plumbing supplies, but thankfully I was able to find it anyway. I needed this 3/4 to 1 inch 'muffler adapter' in order to install a larger and much more quiet muffler on the 8 hp Briggs& Stratton engine on my generator .. It screwed on to the 3/4 pipe coming out of the engine perfectly and with a 1 inch exhaust extension pipe ( also found hiding among the plumbing supplies ?) I was able to complete this conversion .. I recommend putting a little 'anti seize'...

Perfect little adapter
I needed to go from an Orbit 1" valve system to 1/2" rain bird drip tubing for my DIY underground irrigation system. After coming up with ridiculous combinations of adapters, a Lowes pro helped me find this this little guy which solved everything!

3/8 pipe is not offered at Lowes
I find it amusing that Lowes sells 3/8 pipe fittings...... but no 3/8 pipe. What am I supposed to do with the fitting? I have to go to a plumbing store to find 3/8 pipe. so why buy the Lowes 3/8 fitting. The plumbing store has lots.

Low quality
I bought two of these reducer fittings (along with two 3/4" galvanized nipples) to install a new water softener. No matter what I did, I could not get either one of them to seal. I'm no newbie to plumbing having been at it for over 40 years and understand some leakage may be expected upon initial installation. I ended up going to another big box store for new fittings, they both worked perfectly.
