What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this potting soil for exceptional drainage and root-friendly texture that helps succulents, cacti, aloe vera, and jade plants thrive and recover from poor health. Reviewers consistently note the lightweight, fluffy composition prevents root rot while supporting vigorous growth. Many emphasize reliable, consistent performance across multiple repottings and seasons, building strong loyalty. A few mention wishing for chunkier texture with more perlite, and rare isolated reports note minor pest issues, but these represent outliers among overwhelmingly positive feedback. Overall, customers consider it ideal for drought-tolerant plants.

Great product, exactly what I needed for refilling and re-potting the plants that I have had for so many years. Plants have perked up quite a bit with the new mix. The mix had the right texture and contained the right nutrients and moisture. The plants need the correct aeration since the old soil was too compacted. Drainage is much better now.
Great mix for desert gardeners
I was pleased that I found the Cactus soil potting mix. It is good to have soil that is compatible with cactus, as otherwise it is easy to overwater them, and they will not thrive in the heavier regular soil.
Potting soil at Lowe’s
This potting mix is ideal for for succulents and cactus, I’m glad Lowe’s carries such a complete line of potting soil.
I bought this potting mix to plant some flowers and it has proven very good. My plants look better than usual so I will continue to purchase more!!
Good buy for succulents!
Perfect for succulents- doesn’t let them get too moist which would kill them?
water smart and happy little plants
Works great, water is easily managed and my plants are happy
Great budget lightweight soil
Product retains more moisture than I'm comfortable with would recommend mixing with perlite or a chunky Orchid mix.
Huzzah
This is cactus soil that I purchased for my cactus. It’s not dead yet so I guess things are going well!
delivery purchase never delivered
august 15th I placed an online order for delivery. it was NEVER delivered, but states it was delivered. there was no delivery photo done either. ive called 12 times in a 9 day period to hear "someone will contact you within 24 hours " everytime, NOT 1 person has called to resolve the issue. I suggest you do not apply for a Lowe's credit card, I know i am never shopping with them ever again. And im reporting them to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, synchrony bank, and whatever federal authorities...
Happy Plants!
I was given some cactus starters as a gift so I had to buy the soil to give them their best start. I chose it for the drainage and nutrient content. My new plants have been in the soil for two weeks and I can already see new growth.
