Great soil mixure

This is a great mixture of coarse material for your plants. I use this for a lot of my house plants, primarily my aroids. You can use it for any soil mixture where you want the soil to be more airy and retain less water. I would also recommend adding perlite (which you can also buy here at Lowes).

It's perfect for repotting my orchids. It's a real plus having the fertilizer already in it.

Gnats

Worst bag of gnat infestation ever! I heard it was awful, tried it anyway, should have listened. Will not buy again.

Okay I actually know how to grow orchids. I have roots, spikes, massive leaves growing all over the place. The trick is to use daylight LED bulbs on a 12-hour timer, I water once per week with 1/4 tsp of fertilizer per gallon. And my orchids are all growing like crazy. I ignored the REVIEWS! This potting soil is Infested with gnats and I am going to be returning the plant. I am so Disappointment. My apartment is filed with gnats and it is Disgusting

Stay Away!

This is the worst soil! Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews before buying it. I used it to repot 12 orchids. As others have said, it was infested with gnats. Now they are in my house, and I'm worried they have ruined my orchids. I had to go buy different soil and spend 3 hours rinsing and repotting them to try to get rid of the gnats. Stay away!

Miracle-Death

I should have read the reviews. Blended it with an existing formula for soil, plants dying within a week. Huge gigantic chucks of what's clearly not bark (I"m in Georgia, read the fine print on the back of the bag, its formulated different for that state for some reason). And the gnat problem is real too, after opening the bag about two weeks after i'm seeing gnats. KIlled a beautiful plant i was repotting, wasting my time, money and attention to the plant.
