metal body and seems very well made. so quiet! I got this to keep in the SUV to move air to the back when I take my dog for a ride. not a huge wind output / it is a desk fan. But having the options for power are what sold me - it runs on USB and will stay on even with engine off. with the regular power plug it turns off with the engine. no rattles and doesn't look cheap like some of the plastic ones i looked at.
